Prior to leading technical architecture on Hemi, Maxwell Sanchez was the co-founder and CTO of VeriBlock where he co-invented the Proof-of-Proof (PoP) protocol for decentralized and permissionless Bitcoin security inheritance, architecting an entirely new PoP-optimized blockchain protocol. Passionate about blockchain technology since 2011, Max also launched the first testnet to use post-quantum cryptography, has discovered and responsibly disclosed chain fragmentation and stake amplification consensus vulnerabilities for multiple blockchain projects, and developed several open-source GPU miners.
